Old Hamptonians Association Inc

Membership

FOR THIS ASSOCIATION TO SURVIVE, YOUR ANNUAL PAID MEMBERSHIP IS ESSENTIAL.

Currently, the ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP fees are only $15 (Fifteen Dollars), and covers the financial year from July to June in each year.

All current members receive a copy of our four monthly newsletter "The Aurora", and although this is fully produced by volunteers, there is copying, printing  and postage costs to be met. This amounts to in excess of $500 each four months. With lack of paid member support, together with increasing Public Liability Insurance costs, and annual State Government Company Registration Fees, the continued viability of the OLD HAMPTONIANS ASSOCIATION Inc is now in question.
We have built up some reserves which will keep us operating for at least 18 months.
Please do your bit, and send your membership fees to our secretary .

Thank you for your interest in the OLD HAMPTONIANS ASSOCIATION Inc

We exist to promote the events of the HAMPTON HIGH SCHOOL, which was closed in 1988, and to nurture the nostalgic memories of our time there, also to arrange re-unions and social events. The school was commenced in 1935, having grown from small acorns at the Hampton Primary School, with which was associated the Hampton Higher Elementary School, and finally became its' own entity HAMPTON HIGH SCHOOL in 1935.

The full history of HHS is contained in the originals of the school term  magazine "The Aurora", several large boxes of photos and memorabilia, and recollections of the ex-students and staff. We have embarked on a huge Scanning project, Stage one is now completed and CDs are now available. Please refer to the links on our home page for more information,

We are all now getting that little bit older, and as there are no more ex-students available, what we do today to record our history will be of ever lasting benefit to the future generations. Hampton High School was a proud and fine school, let us keep those memories alive for as long as possible.
